Lancashire public to be asked for views on draft transport plan
The draft Local Transport Plan (LTP) Implementation Plan sets out how travel and transport will be improved across the county up to 2030.
The Lancashire public are being asked for their views on the draft Local Transport Plan (LTP) Implementation Plan. The plan sets out how travel and transport will be improved across the county up to the end of the decade.
Produced by the Lancashire Combined County Authority (LCCA), these plans explain how transport improvements could be delivered locally over the next four years.
The plan covers the whole of Lancashire - including Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackpool Council, Lancashire County Council and all 12 districts.
It builds on last year’s Local Transport Plan Core Strategy consultation, where residents, businesses, visitors and commuters shared their priorities for the future of transport.
This new consultation aims to identify which improvements are the most important to local communities.
The six-week consultation is now live and closes on Tuesday 30th of June. You can take a look at it here: https://www.lancashire-cca.gov.uk/have-your-say
Councillor Phil Riley, Chair of the Lancashire Combined County Authority’s Transport Advisory Board, said: “This is an important opportunity for residents to influence how transport develops across Lancashire."
“Better transport is key to supporting jobs, improving health and making our towns and neighbourhoods more accessible and attractive."
“We want to better understand people’s everyday journeys and the challenges they face, so we can focus on the improvements that will make the biggest difference.”
