Lancashire Constabulary officer charged with corruption offences
He is alleged to have conspired with others, to supply a Class A drug and participated in the criminal activities of an organised crime group
A Lancashire Constabulary officer, with alleged links to an organised crime group, is due in court to face two corruption-related charges, after an Independent Office for Police Conduct directed investigation.
PC Hakeem Mahmood, 30, who was investigated by Lancashire Constabulary’s Anti-Corruption Unit, under IOPC direction and control, will appear at Burnley Crown Court tomorrow (Friday 14 August).
He is alleged to have conspired with others, to supply a Class A drug and participated in the criminal activities of an organised crime group, between August 2024 and January 2026.
On conclusion of the investigation in June 2026, the case was referred to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorised the charges of conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug and corrupt/improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a police constable. He was arrested on 24 June 2026.
