Accrington man jailed for sexually assaulting woman as she slept
He pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a female by penetration

A man from Accrington has been jailed for nearly seven years for sexually assaulting a woman as she slept.
31 year-old Jason Brown admitted targeting his victim after she’d had a drink and fallen asleep on a sofa in June last year.
She woke up to find the lower part of her clothing removed and Brown assaulting her.
The pair already knew each other.
He appeared at Preston Crown Court and pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a female by penetration.
He's been jailed for six years and ten months.
Detective Constable Robert Williams of the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit, said: “Jason Brown took advantage of a woman in a vulnerable state and sexually assaulted her.
“This was abhorrent behaviour by Brown, and I welcome the prison sentence imposed on him.
“Lancashire Police take all reports of sexual offences seriously and will thoroughly investigate them in order to bring offenders to justice.”
