He's been jailed for over three years
A man has been jailed after he burgled a house in Penwortham and left blood at the scene.
In October 2024, 40-year-old Ian Rowling broke into a house in Leyland Road by smashing in the back door.
He stole a watch worth £5,000, a laptop and a pedal cycle.
Officers found blood on a mobile phone box in a bedroom and footwear marks on the dining room floor.
The blood was a DNA match to Rowling.
He pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling and was sentenced to three-years-and-eight-months in prison.
