Gas leak in Blackburn closes major road

A gas leak has closed a major road in Blackburn.

Police confirmed Livesey Branch Road was closed last night (6 February) and is likely to remain closed until this afternoon (7 February).

Engineers have fixed the problem but say there's still work to be done to get the road into a safe condition.

Diversions have been clearly signposted and St Bede's High School is still accessible.
