Firefighters have been tackling a large fire at a commercial building in Blackpool overnight.
Crews from Blackpool and neighbouring stations were called to Boome Street shortly after 2:30am this morning (21 October) following reports of a blaze.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were called to the scene, using a hose reel and an aerial ladder platform to bring the flames under control.
Teams remain at the site this morning to ensure the area is safe and to investigate the cause of the fire.
Local residents are advised to avoid the area while emergency services continue their work.
Since the fire started, Electricity North West have also confirmed over 50 properties are currently experiencing issues with their power.
In a statement it said: "This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident with the underground cable that provides electricity to your home or business.
"We didn't know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible."
