Fire crews in Lancashire have attended a large moorland fire near Bury overnight.

Officers reported windy conditions working against them, as they worked with Greater Manchester crews to tackle flames under the Scout Moor wind turbines.

They were in attendance from 6pm last night.

Members of the public have been urged not to walk or drive onto the moors until the area is safe.

An investigation is ongoing into the cause of the fire.
