Tributes paid to Anthony Place, who died in motorcycle accident
The family of Anthony Place, who died in a traffic collision in Rivington, have paid tribute to him and the impact he had on those around him.
Anthony, a 38-year-old from Horwich, was killed when his blue Yamaha motorbike struck a car park barrier on a side road off Rivington Lane near Rivington Barn.
His family shared heartfelt sentiments, describing him as a son whose smile "lit up every room" and whose energy touched everyone he met.
They expressed the profound impact of his passing, saying he was "a loving father, stepfather, and partner, the best big brother, and a crazy uncle," with a void left by his absence that "will never be filled."
Authorities continue to appeal for information and footage that could help with ongoing inquiries into the incident.
The collision report was received at 9:04pm on Wednesday 8th April, with Anthony pronounced dead at the scene.
A female passenger in her 30s accompanying him on the motorcycle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
