Blackburn man jailed after driving into oncoming traffic to avoid police
He's also been disqualified from driving for a year

A Blackburn man who drove into the path of oncoming traffic to avoid police has been disqualified from driving for a year and jailed for eight months.
21-year-old Daniel Taylor pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard how on 2nd November 2025 an officer spotted a silver Kia Ceed being driven with no insurance on Bolton Road, Blackburn.
Taylor was driving dangerously and overtook a vehicle on Grimshaw Park by going in the opposite carriageway.
A pursuit began and Taylor drove the wrong way down a one-way street, mounting the pavement into the path of oncoming traffic.
The car was later found abandoned on Copperfield Street, Blackburn.
Taylor was later arrested and has now been sentenced.
He's been jailed for eight months and disqualified from driving for a year until an extended test of competence has been passed.
