Cyclist dies days after being injured in Burnley

A cyclist in his 40s has died days after coming off his bike in Burnley.

The man was seriously injured on Villiers Street, near the junction with Magpie Close, around 8.30pm on Tuesday 23 June.

He is thought to have been riding from Swallow Park, on a bright red bicycle.

Lancashire Police are investigating the circumstances.

Officers are asking for any witnesses, including anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, to contact them.
