Beware of fake banknotes, police advise
Counterfeit £10 and £20 banknotes have been reported across Blackpool, Wyre, and Fylde, according to local police.
These fake notes have been used in shops, taxis, and online marketplaces.
Authorities are urging the public to verify the authenticity of banknotes before completing transactions or handing over goods.

Hologram image change
Tilt the note from side to side and ensure the words shift between the note's value and pounds.
See-through window
Check that the foil appears gold on the front of £5 and £10 notes, gold and blue on the front of £20 notes, and silver on the back of all notes.
Monarch's portrait
This should be visible in the see-through window of all genuine notes.
Quality of printing
Authentic notes are printed on thin, flexible plastic (polymer), with slightly raised "Bank of England" text.
