Appeal for witnesses after pedestrian dies in Burnley car collision
Police seek information following Centenary Way incident
Police are appealing for witnesses and any relevant footage after a fatal collision on Centenary Way, Burnley resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
The incident occurred at 9:20pm on Tuesday, 25th August, involving a white Volkswagen Golf and a man in his 60s.
Despite emergency services' efforts, the man tragically passed away at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen Golf remained on site and is cooperating with police investigations.
Sergeant Andrew Swindlehurst from the Roads Policing Unit stated, “A man has very sadly died following this collision, and our thoughts remain with his family and loved ones at this difficult time."
The investigation is in its early stages, and the police are requesting assistance from the public.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or possesses CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage is urged to contact the police.
