A second teenager has been arrested in connection with the e-bike collision involving a three-year-old girl in Burnley.

The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 pm last Friday near the Pavillion in Thompson Park, causing serious injuries to the child, though thankfully not life-threatening.

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy from Burnley yesterday on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

This follows the earlier arrest of another 15-year-old, who was taken into custody on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Both teenagers remain under investigation.

The Sur-Ron e-bike involved has been recovered, and police enquiries are ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information or footage related to the incident to make contact.
