Man jailed after raping, robbing and attacking woman in Burnley
He's been jailed for 18 years
A man who raped and violently attacked a woman with a metal bar and knife has been jailed for 18 years.
Preston Crown Court heard how 41-year-old Bo Yang assaulted the woman at her home in Burnley last year, after a disagreement about money.
He then took her bank cards and money, and used her phone in an attempt to send himself money.
The victim managed to run from the property after five hours had passed, despite him tying her up and taping her head.
The neighbours rang the police.
Yang was found guilty of two counts of rape, sexual assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, robbery and possession of a bladed article.
He was sentenced to 18 years in jail with five years on extended licence.
He's also subject to deportation when he's deemed eligible for release.
