Blackpool's iconic North Pier up for sale
The estate agents claim the pier generated an income of around £2.3 million in 2024
One of Blackpool’s most famous landmarks is on the market.
The historic North Pier, which first opened in 1863 and holds Grade II listed status, is being marketed by estate agents Avison Young.
It stands in a prime location right on the town's central seafront, just steps from the Blackpool Tower.
The estate agents said with a mix of retail kiosks and entertainment offerings, the pier generated an income of around £2.3 million in 2024, including around £154,000 in concession income.
Directors say they are looking for "sensible offers" and have "chosen to focus attention on the wider portfolio, including Central and South Piers".
Retaining its classic Victorian charm, the pier stretches over a footprint of around 13,500 square metres, with its distinctive wooden decking and cast iron sub-structure.
Along its promenade, visitors will still find original wooden benches and ornate kiosks, some dating back over a century.
The pier’s main attractions, including an arcade, theatre, and bar, help draw thousands of visitors from the nearby Golden Mile.
According to the sales listing, all equipment and machines are owned outright and included in the deal, following significant investment over the last five years.
