Police investigate serious incident involving a woman in her 60s

Police are seeking witnesses following a serious collision involving a pedestrian in Blackburn.

The incident occurred at 9.20am on 12th June at the pedestrian crossing on Montague Street, near the junction with Oakenhurst Road.

A yellow DAF HGV collided with a woman in her 60s, resulting in serious injuries to her ribs and pelvis.

She was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and have urged anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage of the area, to come forward.
