Two cannabis farms found in one day in Blackburn

Two cannabis farms have been found by officers on the same day in Blackburn.

Officers executed two drug warrants on Wednesday (14th January) at addresses at Wellington Mill, Sharples Street, and Preston New Road.

At Wellington Mill, officers found a sophisticated cannabis farm spanning two floors with 1125 plants,

They also found cash, weapons, stolen vehicles, bikes and vehicle parts.

A 36-year-old man from Preston and a 44-year-old man from Blackburn were arrested at the scene.

At Preston New Road, officers found a second cannabis farm comprising of 407 plants.

A 35-year-old man from Rochdale has been arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation, burglary and abstracting electricity.
