Police investigate machete and bat attack in Bamber Bridge
Officers appeal for information following assault on man in his 30s
Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Bamber Bridge.
The incident happened at around 4.45pm on 7th February 2026 when two men attacked another man using a machete and a baseball bat on Seven Acres.
The victim, in his 30s, sustained several slash wounds and fractures to his hands.
He received medical treatment at the hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
The investigation into the attack is ongoing, and a 19-year-old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of wounding. He has been released on bail as inquiries continue.
Police urge anyone who witnessed the assault, possesses CCTV or mobile footage, or has other information to come forward.
