BAE launches drive for apprentices in defence programmes
The company has sites in Warton and Samlesbury
Defence giant BAE Systems is to recruit more than 1,100 apprentices next year, building on its achievement of having a record 6,800 young people in training across its UK operations.
The company, which has sites in Warton and Samlesbury, said the announcement underlines its commitment to developing the next generation of workers in the sector.
Since 2020, BAE Systems has recruited more than 10,000 apprentices and graduates and invested over £1 billion in education and skills.
Most of the new roles will be based in the North of England as well as the South of England, Scotland and Wales.
