Police are appealing for information after two teenagers were seriously injured in a crash on the M6 in Lancashire.

Officers were called to the northbound carriageway between junctions 32 and 33 at around 11:16pm last night (Sunday 15th February) following a collision involving a Nissan Micra, a Toyota Celica and a HGV.

A 17-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger in the Micra were taken to hospital with serious injuries, where they remain.

Police say the HGV did not stop at the scene, and enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle and its driver.

Anyone with dashcam footage or information about the collision, particularly between 11:10pm and 11:20pm, is asked to contact police.
