Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a serious collision in Lytham yesterday morning left a man in his 80s hospitalised.

Emergency services were called at around 7:20am yesterday morning (Saturday 3rd May) to Station Road in Lytham, where a Bentley Continental had reportedly collided with a pedestrian.

The man suffered leg and chest injuries and remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Sgt Martin Wilcock from Lancashire's Road Policing Team has said:

"This collision has led to a man suffering very serious injuries and my thoughts are with him as he undergoes treatment in hospital."

He added that the road was closed for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene and carried out initial investigations.

Police are now asking anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.
