Woman charged after teenager 'stabbed' in Sittingbourne
The victim is in hospital in a serious but stable condition
A woman's been charged after a teenager was found with suspected stab wounds in Sittingbourne.
Patrols were called to an injured man near Rectory Road shortly after midnight yesterday (27 February).
The victim, who is in his late teens, was treated for an injury consistent with a stab wound.
He was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Later the same morning, a woman was arrested in connection with the incident and was taken into custody.
Leah Scantlebury, of Commonwealth Close, Sittingbourne, was later charged with wounding with intent.
The 19 year old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (28 February).
Officers are continuing to urge any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them.
