Woman charged after 3-year-old girl attacked by dog in Rainham

The girl needed hospital treatment after being bitten on the arm by a dog in Rainham

A woman has been charged following a report of a child being bitten by a dog in Rainham. 

Kent Police were called last Tuesday (17 June) after a 3-year-old girl was bitten in Mierscourt Road at around 3.30pm that afternoon.

The child attended a London hospital for treatment to her arm. She has since been discharged.

An investigation was launched and officers made an arrest in connection with the incident on Monday 23 June. A dog, believed to be a Cockapoo, was also seized.

Tracie Inkpen, of Broadview Avenue, Gillingham was charged the same day with being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.

Ms Inkpen, 50, was bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
