Man in critical condition and another arrested after serious crash near Gravesend
The incident happened at 5.21am yesterday, and a man in his 20s remains in hospital
Kent Police are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision on the A2 near Gravesend that's left one man critically injured.
The incident happened at 5.21am yesterday (Sunday 23rd November 2025).
A white Mercedes A45 AMG and a black BMW 1 Series collided on the A2 Watling Street coastbound before both vehicles hit a white Volvo HGV.
Emergency services, including Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene.
The driver of the BMW, a 27-year-old man, was taken to a London hospital where he remains in critical condition. His next of kin have been informed.
A man in his 20s who was also hospitalised has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving.
He has since been bailed while police continue their investigation.
Officers are urging anyone who may have seen the incident, or the vehicles involved prior to the collision, to come forward.
