Two pedestrians hurt in collision with e-bike in Ashford

The rider left the scene after an incident on the A28 Chant Road

A man in his 80s has been left with serious injuries, with a woman in her 60s also hurt, in a collision with an e-bike in Ashford.

The pedestrians were on the pavement of the A28 Chant Road, walking towards Cobbs Wood, when the incident happened at around 8.00pm on Sunday (25th May).

The man remains in hospital in a stable condition, while the woman was also taken to hospital but since been discharged.

The rider of the e-bike left the scene before police arrived.

There's now an appeal to locate them, and for any witnesses to the collision, to contact officers.
