Two men have denied murdering a 23-year-old man in Canterbury's High Street.

Samare Gerezgihir was pronounced dead at the scene of the Kent city centre after emergency services found him with injuries consistent with a stab wound on October 10 2024.

Kent Police had said officers were called to the incident at 11.31pm.

At Canterbury Crown Court today, Kemal Ibrahim, 24, and Mohammed Hgar, 31, pleaded not guilty to Mr Gerezgihir's murder and not guilty to having a knife in a public place.

Ibrahim, of Long Acre Close, Canterbury, also pleaded not guilty to occasioning actual bodily harm of another man between October 10 and 11 last year.

Ibrahim and Hgar, of no fixed address, were remanded into custody ahead of a trial set for March 31.
