Two men charged after serious knife attack in Walderslade
Victim in hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds
Two men have been charged following a serious assault in Walderslade on Monday night that left a man in his 30s with injuries consistent with stab wounds.
The incident occurred at around 9.45pm on 20th July in Spenlow Drive, Boxley.
Kent Police responded to the scene, and the victim is currently hospitalised in serious but stable condition.
At around 1.10am the following morning armed officers arrested a 28 year old man in London Road, West Malling.
A second man, aged 26, was arrested at Tonbridge police station on Tuesday 21 July.
On Wednesday 22 July Ronnie Welsh, 28, of Old Orchard Lane, Leybourne, and 26 year old Alfie Welsh, of Drayton Close, High Halstow, were both charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Ronnie Welsh was additionally charged with possession of cannabis.
Both men appeared at West Kent Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 23 July where they were remanded in custody. They are both due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 21 August.
