Two arrested following Ramsgate disturbance

Two arrests have been made as officers appeal for witnesses to a disturbance in Ramsgate.

Kent Police was called shortly before 1am on Saturday 1 February 2025 to a report that a dispute had broken out between two groups of people in Broad Street, near to the junction with Hardres Street.

It was reported that a man in his 30s had been assaulted by a group of males before the group dispersed and left the scene.

Officers attended and carried out enquiries. South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and treated the man for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

A short while later, officers arrested two 16 year old boys from the local area in connection with the incident. They remain in custody pending further enquiries.
