Three teenagers arrested on suspicion of murder after death of man in Leysdown-on-Sea

A teenage girls and two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man on the Isle of Sheppey.

Kent Police was called to the Warden Bay Road in Leysdown-on-Sea shortly after 7pm on Sunday (10 August).

It was reported that an altercation broke out involving a small group of people and a man was assaulted, sustaining serious injuries.

Officers attended along with paramedics and a man in his 40s was confirmed dead. His next of kin has been told.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

"A short while later, a 16 year old girl and two boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody pending further enquiries.

"Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information that may assist the investigation should call Kent Police on 01622 690690 quoting 10-1384.
