Two teenagers have been charged after a boy suffered suspected stab wounds in Sittingbourne.

It's reported the 16 year old was seriously injured at an address in Murston shortly before 9pm last Thursday.

It was alleged that a group of people had arrived and left the scene in a car during the incident.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment to injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

The boy was later discharged to continue his recovery.

Enquiries were carried out and the following day officers made arrests in connection with the incident.

On Saturday 18 January, a 17 year old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and with possession of a bladed article.

Following an initial hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court, he was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 14 February.

A second 17 year old boy, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and with possession of a bladed article, was bailed with conditions after he appeared before magistrates and is also due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 14 February.
