Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a teenage girl died following a collision on the M20 near Aylesford.

Emergency services were called at around 3.19am on Saturday 22 August after reports of an incident on the coastbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 5.

The girl was reportedly in the carriageway near a footbridge close to Teapot Lane when she was struck by vehicles, including a Ford Transit van and a Vauxhall Corsa.

Officers attended the scene, where the teenager was pronounced dead. Her family has since been informed.

Police are now asking anyone who travelled along the M20 in the area between approximately 3.15am and 3.28am to come forward if they saw a pedestrian on the carriageway or witnessed anything that could assist the investigation.

Anyone with information or potentially useful footage is being urged to contact police.
