A teenage boy from Ashford is due in court next month, charged in connection with catapult incidents in the town.

Kent Police had a report of an assault in Simon Avenue back in February.

A catapult was allegedly fired at a man, with the victim further assaulted when confronting the suspect.

Two days later, officers had reports of someone attacking wildlife using a catapult in the Christ Church graveyard on Beaver Road.

A 17 year old boy arrested two days after that incident has now been charged with assault, possession of an offensive weapon and killing a wild bird, which is an offence under the Wildlife Act.

He's been released on bail to appear at Folkestone Magistrates Court on 10th June.
