Teenage motorcyclist dies following fatal collision in Sittingbourne

Police appeal for witnesses after a 17 year old local boy sustained serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision near Sittingbourne that has resulted in the death of a 17-year-old motorcyclist.

The collision involved two vehicles.

It was reported that a black KTM Duke motorcycle was travelling in Lower Road, Tonge, in the direction of Teynham, when it was involved in a collision with a blue VW Transporter van which was travelling in the opposite direction towards Sittingbourne.

The incident happened at 4.50pm on Saturday 25 April 2026.

The motorcyclist, a 17 year old local boy, sustained serious injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

Anyone who saw the collision, or who might have seen the vehicles beforehand, is urged to contact police.
