Suspect charged with murder following discovery of body in Margate

Bradley Cooper to face court after High Street incident

Detectives in Margate have charged 40-year-old Bradley Cooper with murder following the discovery of a body at a High Street property.

Kent Police responded to concerns for a person's welfare at the location shortly after 11:30 am on Thursday, 11th June 2026.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased man inside the premises.

While formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of Nathan Jermy, aged 31, who was previously reported missing, have been informed.

Bradley Cooper, of Eaton Road, Margate, was subsequently arrested, and the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a charge of murder on Sunday, 14th June.

Cooper has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 15th June.

Ashleigh Muir, aged 33, from High Street, Margate, has also been charged with assisting an offender and will appear at the same court hearing.

Additionally, a 30-year-old man has been released on bail as enquiries continue, while a 17-year-old girl remains in custody.

Police are urging anyone with information relevant to the investigation to come forward.
