Appeal for witnesses after dog attack in Sheerness leaves man injured

Officers seek information on dog and owner after incident in Minster on Sea

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Sheerness where a dog was reportedly dangerously out of control.

The altercation occurred around 5pm on 24th March 2026 on Scrapsgate Road, Minster on Sea.

The dog escaped from its owner and attacked a man and his pet.

The victim suffered cuts to his hands, and his dog needed stitches for a neck injury.

The attacking dog is described as a mix of Border Terrier and Cockapoo.

Officers have carried out investigations to locate the dog and its owner but are now requesting help from the public.
