Man charged after homeowner 'attacked with hammer' during burglary in Sevenoaks

A 36-year-old man has been charged following an alleged burglary and assault in Seal, Sevenoaks.

It's after reports of an incident on Saturday 27th December 2025 at an address on Seal High Street in the evening.

The victim, who is in his 40s, was allegedly assaulted with a hammer after several men gained entry.

A chain and cash were stolen from the address, while a mobile phone was damaged.

Police were alerted, and three men were arrested on Monday 29th December and Tuesday 30th December.

Numan Ahmed, of Sandgate Road, Folkestone, has since been charged with aggravated burglary and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Mr Ahmed appeared in Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court and was granted conditional bail ahead of a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 26th January 2026.

Two other men, a 29-year-old from Tonbridge and a 25-year-old from Barking, Essex, were conditionally bailed while investigations continue.
