Small businesses, not-for-profits and NHS community facilities across Kent can now apply for up to £5,000 to help staff and customers travel more sustainably.

Kent County Council has launched its Active Travel Business Grants for 2025, supporting practical improvements like cycle parking, lockers, showers, pool bikes and e-bike charging points.

The grants aim to make walking, cycling or wheeling an easier choice for everyday journeys, whether for commuting, appointments or shopping.

Spencer Dixon, Deputy Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, said: “We want to help businesses across Kent make active travel a realistic and convenient option for their staff and customers.

‘This grant scheme is about supporting practical improvements that make it easier for people to choose walking, cycling or wheeling - whether for commuting, appointments or shopping.”

Applications must be submitted by 24 October 2025. For full details, and to apply, visit: Active Travel Business Grants – Kent County Council
