Police appeal after car crash and reported assault in Cuxton

It's alleged a man assaulted someone and punched an ambulance

Police are appealing for information after a collision and a reported assault in Cuxton.

Patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to the incident in Rochester Road at 9.05pm on Saturday 11 January 2025.

The collision, involving a white Ford Ranger and a white Audi A3, left a passenger in the latter requiring treatment for a shoulder injury at a local hospital.

It is alleged the driver of the Ranger assaulted a man at the scene and then punched an ambulance.

The suspect, aged 30 and from Chatham, was arrested and taken into custody.

He was later bailed to return to the police station pending further investigation.

Officers are urging anyone who saw the incident, or either vehicle before the collision to get in touch.
