Pensioner critically injured after collision with van in Larkfield

He was walking his dog when it happened

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after a pensioner was seriously injured in a crash in Larkfield.

It happened on Leybourne Way, at the junction with Gighill Road at around 8.10am on Sunday 21st December.

Emergency services were called after a white VW panel van was involved in a collision with the man, who was walking his dog.

The driver stopped and the pedestrian, in his 80s, was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The dog was also treated for injuries and is now recovering at home.
