Motorcyclist injured during crash with van in Maidstone

Kent Police are trying to locate the driver

A motorcyclist has been injured following collision with a van in Maidstone and now detectives are seeking help to find the driver.

Kent Police was called at 9.54pm on Monday 17 March 2025 to a two-vehicle collision in Staceys Street. It's alleged a pickup truck left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

"Patrols attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and the rider of a motorbike was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries to his leg.

"Later searches led to the recovery of a white Mitsubishi pickup truck from a street nearby.

"A local man in his 20s was arrested in connection to the incident and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries."

Investigators are now appealing for witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police.

Local residents with private CCTV or drivers with dashcam, who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, are also asked to check for footage.
