Motorcyclist dies after collision with car in Stelling Minnis

The fatal crash happened last night on Stone Street

A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car at Stelling Minnis near Canterbury.

A black Ford Fiesta and black BMW X5 were travelling south along Stone Street towards the junction with Curtis Lane shortly before 11:30pm last night.

The Ford was involved in a collision with a red Honda CBF motorcycle being ridden in the opposite direction.

Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was confirmed dead at the scene.

His next of kin has been told.

The driver of the Ford, a woman in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing death by dangerous driving.

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries and urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the vehicles before the collision, to contact them.
