Witnesses sought after fatal motorbike collision near Appledore

Kent Police appeal for information following tragic accident

A motorcyclist has died after an accident near Appledore.

The crash happened around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon (4th May) when a red and purple Triumph Speed Twin motorbike left Military Road while travelling in a convoy with other riders.

The motorbike veered off the carriageway and struck a hedgerow, resulting in the rider, a man in his 60s, being pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services attended the location, and the motorcyclist's next of kin has been told.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now investigating the accident and are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
