Men charged as police find cannabis cultivations during raids in Ashford
Police carried out search warrants at properties of Tuesday
Two people have been charged as part of an investigation into organised crime and drug production in Ashford.
On Tuesday 4 August 2026, two separate cannabis cultivations were dismantled after officers from Kent Police carried out search warrants at properties in the town.
At an address in Hythe Road, rooms including a basement and an attic are reported to have been filled with plants and cultivating equipment, and at a premises in Riverbank Way, five rooms had allegedly been repurposed to grow the class B drugs.
In total around 500 plants were seized.
Two people were arrested and following enquiries, Marius Dardha, 32, and 30 year old Endrit Lulaj, both of Albanian nationality and of no fixed address, were charged for production of cannabis.
They appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 5 August and were remanded in custody.
The cases will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on dates to be confirmed.
