Medway tunnel partly closed after lorry hits lighting
It was travelling westbound towards Strood
The Medway Tunnel towards Strood has been temporarily closed after a lorry hit the tunnel's lighting fixtures.
The damaged lorry is being removed and teams are clearing debris and conducting lighting repairs and safety checks within the tunnel.
Medway Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes while the westbound side of the Medway Tunnel remains closed.
