Man due in court after allegedly hitting victim with car following crash in Chatham
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to multiple injuries
A Chatham driver is due in court charged with causing serious injury by driving dangerously.
On Sunday (16 February), the victim was driving in New Road when his car was involved in a collision with a Nissan Note.
As he got out of his vehicle it is alleged the Nissan drove into the victim.
The Nissan driver is also alleged to have left the scene and the victim was later taken to hospital for treatment to multiple injuries.
An investigation was completed into the incident and on the following day a suspect was arrested.
Jahmel Corbin, of no fixed address, was later charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, causing serious injury by driving dangerously, failing to stop after a collision, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and no insurance.
The 37 year old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
