Man in his 80s dies weeks after being hit by van in Larkfield

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information.

Kent Police have launched a renewed appeal for witnesses after an elderly man died in hospital following a collision in Larkfield.

The incident occurred at around 8.10am on Sunday 21st December 2025 on Leybourne Way, near the junction with Gighill Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene after a white Volkswagen panel van was involved in a crash with a pedestrian, a man in his 80s.

The driver of the van had stopped, and the pedestrian was transported to a London hospital for treatment. He passed away on 10th January 2026 due to the injuries sustained.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is continuing its inquiry into the circumstances of the crash.

The force is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
