Man and his dogs die in house fire
Kent fire and rescue say a man lost his life in the blaze
Emergency services were called when items on the stove caught alight when the hob was accidentally switched on
The blaze happened in Hersden, near Canterbury, on Friday night.
They say:
'On 14 February, Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to assist SECAmb following reports of a housefire in Hersden, Canterbury.
Two fire engines attended, the fire was extinguished before crews arrived and they made the scene safe.
Sadly, a man and two dogs died at the scene.
The fire was accidental, caused when items left on the hob caught alight when they were accidentally turned on.'
