Three men visiting UK for international sports competition attacked in Lydd
They had stopped to ask for directions
Kent Police are appealing for information following an assault on three men in Lydd.
It happened between 7pm and 7.30pm on Saturday (13th June).
The incident took place near Cannon Street and Coronation Square when the victims asked locals for directions and were then allegedly attacked by a group of unknown men.
The victims are in their 30s and are visiting the UK for an international sports competition.
One individual suffered serious facial injuries and was hospitalised for medical treatment.
Appeal for Witnesses
Chief Inspector Anjali Howard is urging witnesses or anyone who might know the identities of those involved in the assault to come forward:
"The three men who were targeted are briefly visiting the UK to take part in an international sports competition."
"I am urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who knows the identities of those involved in the assault to contact our appeal line."
