Kent pupils are set to receive notifications today about which primary schools they will attend this September.

This year, 98.22% of pupils have been offered a place at one of their three chosen schools.

More than 89% successfully obtained their first preference.

In total, 16,595 applications were made by Kent parents and carers for Year R, with 16,299 securing placements at one of their preferred schools.

Families who applied online will start receiving emails at 4pm today, 16th April, with access to their accounts from 5pm to view the offer.

Additionally, 66 applications for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) have been processed for those whose plan was finalised before 26th September 2025.

For the small number, 296 pupils, who did not receive a place in one of their preferred schools, Kent County Council will allocate an alternative option.

Enrolment on waiting lists for higher preference schools is automatic, with details in the email correspondence.

Families can further request to join waiting lists of lower preference schools by 30th April 2026.

Appeals to admissions authorities can be lodged until 18th May 2026.

A second round of offers for available spaces will occur on 21st May 2026.

For any questions regarding offers, families are encouraged to reply to their offer email.
