Man arrested in Herne Bay after weapon scare
Armed police swiftly detain suspect and seize imitation firearm
A swift police response in Herne Bay led to the arrest of a 30-year-old local man following reports of a weapon sighting on the High Street.
Kent Police were alerted at around 5.50pm on Sunday (21st June), when a man reportedly approached an individual while carrying a weapon.
Rapid Police Action
Armed officers quickly arrived on the scene, arresting the suspect within minutes.
He remains in police custody, and no injuries have been reported.
The weapon was identified as an imitation firearm, which has since been seized.
